<div itemprop="description"><br>Kurt, Melvin Bernard <br>It is with heavy hearts we announce the Peaceful passing of Melvin Kurt at his home at the age of 81. <br>Loving and devoted husband to Ruth for 58 years. Sadly missed by Carol (Scott) Lennox and Nancy (Gary) Horst. Grandpa will always be remembered by Owen (Jesika), Kristine, Ashley and Emily. Also fondly remembered by his Great Granddaughter Brie the apple of Grandpa’s eye. Survived by his Sisters Mae (Casimir) Nowak, Marg (Eddie) Paulbiski, Betty (Eddie) Bowman and his brother Nelson (Esther) Kurt. Mel will be missed by his many family and extended family members, and friends and colleagues. Predeceased by his Son Keith (1988) and his siblings Harvey, Art, Cecil, Lily Gardner, Grace Ernst, Clayton, Norman and Howard. Mel will be remembered as a proud employee for nearly 50 years at Panill Veneer before his retirement, and for his cheering of the hometown Kitchener Rangers Hockey Club. <br>Family and friends will be received at the Memory Gardens Funeral Home 2723 Victoria St. N. Breslau ( Kitchener) 519 904 0400 on Friday October 7, 2016 from 6- 8 p.m. and on Saturday October 8, 2016 from 12 – 2 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home Chapel on Saturday October 8, 2016 at 2 p.m. Interment to follow at the Memory Gardens Cemetery. <br>Memorial donations to the Canadian Diabetes Society, and or to the Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated <br>If so desired a book of online condolences may be signed at www.memorycemetery.ca <br> <br> <br></div>
