<div itemprop="description">Megan Nichole Johnston, age 33, of Kitchener Ontario, passed away on Tuesday August 30, 2016 at Freeport Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer. <br>Megan was born in St. Catharines, Ontario on January 4, 1983. She was the first born and only daughter of Bob and Teresa Johnston and the beloved wife of Abe Wheeler and adored mother of Noah Wheeler and caring step-parent to Kiyana, Isaac, and Eli. <br>Megan graduated with honours from Centennial CVI in Guelph Ontario with the class of 2001, she went on to study at Conestoga College and earn a Diploma with Distinction in Office Administration – Executive program and graduated with the 2007 class. She began working at Skyjack in 2007 and worked there as an Administrative Assistant, where she had countless friends and ultimately met her husband Abe. <br>During the summer of 2000, when she was 17, Megan joined the junior rangers program through the ministry of natural resources. She was in an all-girl camp in northern Ontario for the entire summer, where they worked clearing trails, planting trees, as well as doing fish, wildlife, and other environmental projects. Prior to her diagnosis of breast cancer Megan joined the CIBC Run For The Cure volunteer committee, which raises money for the Canadian Brest Cancer Foundation. She continued on the committee until earlier this year. <br>Megan is survived by her husband Abe Wheeler, her son Noah, her parents Bob and Teresa Johnston, her brothers and sisters-in law, Nathan & Trina Johnston, Justin & Kirsten Johnston and her cherished nephew and niece, Xander & Zoey, as well as her new nephew due to arrive this Fall. She is also survived by her dearly loved grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and close friends. <br>Megan was an incredible, caring and generous person who loved spending time with her son Noah. She will be remembered by many for her infectious giggle, her love of half coffee half hot chocolate (choffee), sharks, horror movies and Disney. She enjoyed country music (especially Reba), reading, watching her TV shows, going camping, but most importantly spending time with close and extended family and great friends. <br>Visitation services will be held on Saturday September 10 between 9:00 am and 11:00 am, immediately followed by a service and the interment at the Memory Gardens Funeral Home & Cemetery. Reception to follow after interment at the same location. <br> <br>In lieu of flowers you may make a donation to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation</div>
