<div itemprop="description"><br /> <br />Janet Ann Scott <br />May 7, 1959 &ndash; December 27, 2015 <br />Passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family, at the age of 56. <br />Janet (McNicol) is survived by her loving husband Steve. Loving mother of Alana Scott of Toronto. Fondly remembered by her siblings, Jim McNicol (Debbie) of Cookstown and Rod McNicol (Shirley) of Orr Lake, ON. Predeceased by her parents, John (1994) and Isabelle (2011.) <br />Daughter-In-Law to Lorraine Davidson of Kitchener (Keith 2015). Predeceased by Father &ndash;In-Law William James Scott (1993.) <br />Beloved Sister-In-Law to Sue Cameron (Brian) of Salem, Lee Anne Traplin (Paul) of Kitchener, Jackie Knowlton (Dan) of Saudi Arabia/Connecticut, and Andrew Scott of Prague, Czech Republic. Cherished aunt to many nieces and nephews. Special niece to uncles Dan Suzuki (Kitchener) and George Knaggs (Yarm, UK). <br />The family would like to acknowledge the wonderful care provided by her team of doctors, nurses, care givers, and special friends. <br />Janet was a long term administrative assistant with the Waterloo Region District School Board, most recently at Elmira District Secondary School. She will be deeply missed by her many friends, co-workers, and students. <br />Janet&rsquo;s love for her family was paramount. She will always be remembered for her love and kindness to others. Janet&rsquo;s spirit of adventure took her to several places around the globe. She enjoyed hiking, gardening, reading, and spending time with her friends. <br />Family and friends will be received at the Memory Gardens Funeral Home 2723 Victoria St. N. Breslau (Kitchener) on Tuesday December 29, 2015 from 7 - 9 p.m. <br />A Celebration of Janet&rsquo;s Life will be held at the funeral home Chapel on Wednesday December 30, 2015 at 2 p.m. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Grand River Regional Cancer Centre or the Children&rsquo;s Wish Foundation would be greatly appreciated by the family. <br />If so desired a book of condolences may be signed at www.memorycemetery.ca <br /></div>
