<div itemprop="description">Brian William Crichton Innes died peacefully at Grand River Hospital on January 4, 2017 in Kitchener, Ontario at the age of 69. <br> <br>Brian is survived by his wife, Karen of Kitchener, Ontario; his son Chad and wife Stefanie of Newtonville, Ontario; his son Elliott and wife Tiffany of Colorado Springs, Colorado; his daughter Anastasia and husband Christopher of Barrie, Ontario and his grandchildren Micaiah, Shaylee, Nora, Esther Lanae, Glenn and Cedar. He is also survived by his brother Martin of Yarmouth, Nova Scotia and a number of nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father Edward; mother, Esther and brothers, Edward and Kevin. <br> <br>Brian was born on September 19, 1947 in Dundee, Scotland to Edward and Esther. After immigrating to Canada at the age of 3, the family lived throughout Ontario where he eventually joined with his father and brothers at Edson and Associates selling advertising for newspapers across Canada. In 1971 he became a father for the first time with the birth of his daughter Anastasia. After meeting the love of his life, Karen, they married in 1975. Over the next 6 years, the couple welcomed their two boys into their home, Chad and Elliott in 1980 and 1981 respectively. His children remember him as a kind, humorous and driven father who encouraged them to pursue their goals, believe in themselves and care deeply for others. <br> <br>Brian spent most of his career in vehicle sales working from Ontario to Nova Scotia. Most recently Brian served in sales at Leisure Days in Kitchener, Ontario. He was a warm individual who loved bird watching and who went out of his way to make each person he met feel as though they were the most important person in the room. He was an active and dedicated volunteer with the Canadian Red Cross. <br> <br>A memorial service is scheduled for 1:00pm, January 14, 2017 at Memory Gardens Funeral Home is Breslau, Ontario with a reception to follow. Reverend John Anderson will officiate the ceremony. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Brian’s life. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Canadian Red Cross. The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff of Grand River Hospital and all those that cared for Brian in his final days.</div>
