<div itemprop="description">BURKE, Blanche (1928- 2015)<br /><br />Passed away Tuesday September 15, 2015 at Sakura House, Woodstock. Lovingly attended to by her children, Valerie (Rick) Turner, Bonnie (Rod) Dougherty, Laurie Burke Verbaas (Gary Verbaas), Helena (Bob) Campbell, Nancy Burke and Charlie Burke (Barb).<br /><br />A sweet Gramma, always ready with a hug and words of praise and encouragement to her grandchildren, Christopher, Steve (Niki), Shawna, Brett (Breanne), Elizabeth (Dean), Cameron, Michael, Patrick, Nick, Lauren, Anna, Katie and Marshall and her great-grandsons, Bennett and Brayden.<br /><br />Survived by her brother, Wencel Hubacheck (Bette).<br /><br />Pre-deceased by her husband and life friend, Howard Burke; her infant daughter, Leslie Anne; her sister, Elsie (Dave) Davies and her parents, Charles and Helen Hubacheck.<br /><br />Blanche was proud to have been a teacher, was a masterful gardener and loved books and music. Mostly she was a mother and grandmother, always present in the lives of her children and their families, interested and involved.<br /><br />Mom, wherever your travels take you, may all your days be diamonds. Love from your family.<br /><br />The visitation will be from 2PM until 6PM on Sunday September 20th at Memory Gardens Funeral Home and Cemetery in Breslau. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Agatha Roman Catholic Church at 11:00 AM on Monday September 21st, followed by the interment and reception at Memory Gardens Funeral Home and Cemetery.<br />In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Sakura House (Woodstock), Grand River Hospital (Kitchener), St, Mary&rsquo;s Hospital (Kitchener) or any charity of your choice.<br /></div>
